My husband and I wrote a new song Christmas day. The music is still in the works, but the tune has a bit of a Native American flair. It's a celebration of our createdness.
Adam's Song
Oaken trail and rain drenched wood
My feet up to the mountain climb
Deer, unfearing, walk beside
In symbionic rhyme
I, I am of the earth, the sea and sky
I am spirit made of clay, I'll never die
Time is like a forest breeze, the breath of Life
Is blowing through the trees
Carried high, I sail along
The wind whipped waves and salty spray
No longer stranger to the world
Where seals and dolphins play
I, I am of the earth, the sea and sky
I am spirit made of clay, I'll never die
Time is like the ocean wide, the pulse of life
Is beating with the tide
Solid perch on soaring peak
I look out on the land shaped air
Where only birds and angels dwell
And dream I'm walking there
I, I am of the earth, the sea and sky
I am spirit made of clay, I'll never die
Time, it has no walls or sides, the song of Life
Is echoing on high
To the King! To the Restoration!

Thanks for the poetry.
It will make a great song.

We thought of a title, though I changed the words of one line to make it fit. What was originally, "Soaring in my metal ship" is now "Solid perch on soaring peak."
